Great, not, photo of us at the end of our day, when we arrived in Logrono.
A sweet Airbnb out of the touristy part...but still only a 15 minute walk to everything.
Eating is always number one when we get to our destination as sometimes there isn’t much in the way of facilities between. Today our hike was through miles of vineyards and olive orchards.
Calamari for two por favor.
Magestic cathedral in the main plaza in Logrono.
Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Redonde
I know already we will spend much of our time in the old town of Logrono.
The incredible bridge leading into the city of Logrono. Population is a bit more than 150,000 people.
Puente de Hierro below.
Benches in a lovely Weeping Willow park at the very edge of the city.
The Saint James Way, Camino roses.
One step at a time.....we are getting there.
The tiny town in the distance (below) is Viana where we have just walked from.
Sweet bridge to get us over a busy highway.
Views along our journey today.
Tortilla Espanola......delicious. It’s a potato and egg quiche type dish. Popular for breakfast here in Spain.
Energy for the day’s trek.
The view of a bit of Viana. We decided, as Alex is not healed enough to hike too far, we would take the bus from Los Arcos to Viana....just over the mountain, and connect back on the camino path. A shorter hike....still almost 13 kilometres, but no super high elevation.
It’s going to be a gorgeous and cooler day.
And we are off........Are we there yet?
